Dr. Ming Wang, Harvard & MIT (MD); PhD (laser physics), a world-renowned cataract and LASIK eye surgeon, and one of the top pro-am ballroom dancers in the U.S, will compete in the Vol State Dance Challenge, Fri July 28th at Vanderbilt Lowes in Nashville, TN!

The most unique and significant artistic activity in which Dr. Wang has been passionately involved is ballroom dancing. He joined the Harvard University and MIT Ballroom Dance Team and received training in all ten styles of international style competition ballroom dancing. The Harvard University team won the United States National Collegiate Championship several times. In the 1997 United States National Championship of USABDA, Dr. Wang won two gold medals in international style Latin at the gold and novice levels.
Dr. Wang teaches free ballroom dance classes to friends and regards it a personal mission to help revitalize this wonderful and beautiful form of traditional art. Despite his busy clinical schedules he continues to successfully compete nationally several times a year.
